Over the weekend, Gunn was asked by a fan on Threads, "James, it was reported a while back that Matt Reeves has already finished the script for The Batman II, is that really true?" It didn"t take long for Gunn to set the record straight, as the DC Studios boss said the following about The Batman - Part II"s script status:

I think that report was well-intentioned but it was mistaken. We are very much looking forward to it.
