The Road"s fourth trial focused on Patti LuPone"s Sicilian witch, Lilia Calderu, connecting the visions and premonitions she has experienced throughout the series, and delivering her a satisfying and emotional ending after centuries of turmoil and confusion.

Lilia Calderu"s Maestra berates her for not having a coven in Agatha All Along episode 7"s historical scenes, but Lilia soon realizes that she is happy to have finally found a coven of powerful and personable witches. The names she originally suggested as her perfect coven were Agatha Harkness, Lilia herself, Jennifer Kale, Alice Wu-Gulliver and a black heart, which was revealed to be Billy Maximoff. The appearance of the Three of Pentacles also meant that Lilia was comfortable enough to sacrifice herself to save her newfound sisterhood.
5 Alice Wu-Gulliver Is The Knight Of Wands "Full Of Fire, Fights Bravely." Close The third tarot card picked by Lilia in Agatha All Along episode 7 is the Knight of Wands, referred to as the Path Behind. While Lilia describes the Knight of Wands as "full of fire, fights bravely," this doesn"t really do the card justice. The Knight of Wands refers to courage, energy, heroism, rebelliousness and a hot temper, making Alice Wu-Gulliver the perfect recipient of this card. Alice"s death in Agatha All Along episode 5 and the other witches" quick acceptance of it pushed Billy Maximoff to finally reveal his identity to the coven, throwing Agatha, Lilia and Jennifer off the Witches" Road using a sudden outburst of magic.
Lilia Calderu first mentions the Knight of Wands when Alice jumps into action to save Agatha from her possession in Agatha All Along episode 5. Episode 7 also explained that this was the moment that Lilia was seeing when she stated "Alice, don"t..." in episode 4, and "try to save Agatha" in episode 3, which gives these flashes an even more tragic meaning. This slot on the spread correlates to a space for growth and discovery, which is exactly Jennifer"s purpose on the Witches" Road, as she hopes to grow as a witch and rediscover her power. The High Priestess usually refers to spirituality, listening to the inner voice and harboring a huge amount of power, but also positive and negative juxtaposition. This perhaps informs Lilia"s mention that Jennifer is "unable or unwilling" to use her power, commenting on her being bound.

The minutiae of Jennifer"s binding are yet to be revealed, but relating her to the High Priestess, which Lilia did immediately when meeting her in episode 2, suggests her true power is almost incomprehensible. The High Priestess serves as a mediator between the depths of reality, making her role on the ever-extending Witches" Road crucial.
3 Agatha Harkness Is The Three Of Swords "Heartbreak, Sorrow, Grief." Close After the Path Ahead is Obstacles, which sees Lilia Calderu examine the Three of Swords, which she refers to Agatha Harkness" own "heartbreak, sorrow [and] grief." The Three of Swords usually depicts the image of a heart stabbed with three blades, which mirrors the image of Agatha Harkness in front of three crossed tree branches while worried about Billy Maximoff"s injuries in Agatha All Along episode 4. The Three of Swords is one of the most emotional and heartbreaking tarot cards, referencing immense trauma and sadness.
It seemed as though Agatha Harkness believed Billy Maximoff to be her son, Nicholas, when he was injured in Agatha All Along episode 4, as she was uncharacteristically worried about "Teen," and urged Rio Vidal not to take him, teasing her outing as Lady Death.

2 Billy Maximoff Is The Tower Reversed "Disaster, Destruction, Sudden Upheaval, But Reversed, It Means Miraculous Transformation." Close First mentioned in Agatha All Along episode 6, "Familiar By Thy Side," the Tower is a very important tarot card that refers to disaster, destruction, sudden change and huge upheaval. However, Lilia Calderu doesn"t pick out the upright Tower, but instead the Tower reversed as the Windfall. Inverted, the Tower means the opposite: averting disaster, delaying the inevitable, resisting change and transformation. This is the perfect card to mirror Billy Maximoff"s new story in Agatha All Along, as he inhabits the body of the now-deceased William Kaplan, marking his magic change.
