Is Robert Pattinson"s Batman In The Penguin Show?*
Collin Farrell's Penguin is getting his own streaming series,
The Penguin, following the events of The Batman, but it's unclear if Pattinson's Dark Knight will appear to stop him. Batman and Penguin had an intense run-in in The Batman that set up a future rivalry, but it's unclear if that will come to fruition in The Penguin or the upcoming The Batman - Part II.
The DC Universe is in unprecedented times as the old DCEU gives way to the Gunn and Saffran-led DC Universe, but the main continuity films and streaming series will also run alongside various non-canon Elseworlds projects. A major part of this label is director Matt Reeves' Batman universe, which, after the release of The Penguin, will cover both the big and small screen. While Penguin wasn't the primary antagonist of The Batman, Farrell's portrayal of Gotham's crime boss garnered significant praise. The Penguin's recently released In-Production Teaser confirms that the HBO Max streaming series will maintain the polish and look of Reeves' feature film.

Nothing has yet been confirmed, but rumors from Jeff Sneider on The Hot Mic podcast suggest that Pattinson's Batman will appear in The Penguin opposite Collin Farrell's Oswald Cobblepot. Details beyond that have been scarce, but Batman's appearance would make sense. The Penguin is being confidently marketed as "The next chapter in The Batman saga," implying that the story will very much play a significant role in the film franchise and not be a skippable side story. It's hard to imagine that happening without Bruce Wayne at least making an appearance.
How Batman Could Fit Into The Penguin Show's Story

The Penguin will follow Oswald Cobblepot's rise to kingpin status in the immediate aftermath of The Batman, so there are several ways in which Batman could logically appear. While it's unlikely that Pattinson will have a large or reoccurring role given his lack of presence in any of the marketing so far, Batman will surely want to appear to try and stop the blossoming criminal empire. Given that the two already met in The Batman, Bruce already knows who Oswald is, who he associates with, and what he looks like. Tracking him down shouldn't be too hard for the world's greatest detective.
