Frank Grillo Cast As New Rick Flag In James Gunn"s DC Universe*

Frank Grillo joins the cast of Creature Commandos in the role of Rick Flag Sr. The upcoming animated TV show was announced by DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran in January as part of their Chapter 1 slate, title Gods & Monsters. Gunn penned all seven episodes of the Creature Commandos show, which will release in 2024 on HBO Max.
The Wrap reports that Frank Grillo will voice Rick Flag Sr in Creature Commandos. He joins the star-studded Creature Commandos cast alongside David Harbour and Alan Tudyk. Grillo previously appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, playing Brock Rumlow aka Crossbones in Captain America: The Winter Soldier before his character was killed in its followup, Captain America: Civil War.
