The 1 Marvel Team Who Can Easily Replace MCU"s Guardians Of The Galaxy*

One superhero team from Marvel Comics could be the perfect replacement for the MCU's cosmic team after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The current roster of the Guardians of the Galaxy is set to change significantly during the team's third solo outing, set to release as part of the MCU's Phase 5. Director James Gunn will be parting ways with Marvel Studios to dedicate more time to his new role as co-CEO of DC Studios, and he's planning to go out with a bang as several characters could meet their ends during the upcoming film, with popular theories suggesting Drax, Rocket, and potentially even Star-Lord might not survive.
While several characters are expected to depart the MCU during Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it's also thought that Marvel Studios will set up the next generation of cosmic superheroes (and supervillains) during the Phase 5 film. Will Poulter will debut as Adam Warlock, an incredibly powerful hero in Marvel Comics, and Chukwudi Iwuji is set to be introduced as the sinister High Evolutionary, who will surely have a long future in the MCU. It's also possible that seeds could be planted for the Guardians of the Galaxy's replacements in the MCU, with one comic team sticking out as the perfect choice to take the reins.
