Star Wars Finally Reveals How Rise Of Skywalker"s Wayfinder Works*

Star Wars has finally revealed how the Sith Wayfinder in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker really works. The Sith Wayfinder was essentially the MacGuffin of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, a mysterious ancient Sith relic that could be plugged into a navicomputer to guide a ship to the ancient Sith redoubt of Exegol. Star Wars has gradually been revealing just how this works, with Justina Ireland's novel A Test of Courage touching on a forgotten Force power called wayfinding - one that allows a Force-sensitive to focus on some vergence in the Force, and direct themselves toward it. Now, though, the full details have been fleshed out in the most unexpected way.
Tessa Gratton's Quest for Planet X stars Jedi Padawan Rooper Nitani, who allies with teenagers from two of the High Republic's wealthiest families to seek out the mysterious Planet X. A mysterious world rich in the Force, Planet X is somehow associated with the dangerous Force predators known as the Levelers (or, alternatively, the Nameless). It can be found using an ancient device, one that potentially predates the Jedi Order itself - and that seems to be the basis for the Jedi and Sith Wayfinders.
