Section 31 Can Finally Reveal Discovery Season 1’s Missing Character*

Star Trek: Section 31 is officially happening, and the movie is the perfect chance to finally reveal the fate of one Star Trek: Discovery character whose story was left unfinished. Since Discovery's beginning and the introduction of Emperor Philippa Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh), rumors of a spin-off series featuring Georgiou and her involvement with the mysterious Section 31 have been circulating. The series looked unlikely for a time due to Yeoh's other commitments, but a recent official announcement has revealed that Georgiou's story post-Discovery will finally be explored in a streaming movie coming to Paramount+.
While almost nothing is known yet about the plot of Star Trek: Section 31, the film's announcement revealed that the basic storyline will follow Georgiou as she "joins a secret division of Starfleet tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets and faces the sins of her past." This leaves the movie quite a bit of room to explore the truth behind Section 31 and expand on Georgiou's character, as well as wrap up any loose ends from her time on Star Trek: Discovery. If Section 31 does choose to feature the continuation of any Discovery storylines, the film would be wise to explore what happened to one character who hasn't been seen since season 1.
