Avengers 5’s Team Has An Unlikely MCU Problem*

The inevitable team line-up for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will face an unlikely MCU problem that was avoided throughout the Infinity Saga. For large portions of Phases 1 through 3, the Avengers team remained majoritively the same, at least regarding its foundations. The original six Avengers from 2012's The Avengers were instrumental in defeating Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, gaining help from many other heroes along the way.
Despite the overly packed rosters of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, the supporting heroes - such as the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Wakandans - were more defined as honorary Avengers. The core team of Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk, Thor, and Hawkeye remained the same, with the former two characters providing the defined leadership roles. In light of this, the team that will be assembled for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty as part of the MCU's Phase 6 slate will face an issue that was largely avoided as a result of the Avengers' Infinity Saga line-up.
