The DCEU is approaching its end with a few remaining films left to finish the franchise. However, 2023 did not start too well for the decade-long shared universe. The first film to kick off the DCEU's final year is Shazam! Fury of the Gods. However, the sequel has underperformed at the box office.
Sandberg, who directed the first Shazam! film, has been talking more about the sequel over social media lately. Sandberg recently took to Twitter to talk a bit about Shazam! Fury of the Gods' new super-costumes.
When one fan commented on the old suits, Sandberg responded in a separate tweet about the changes. The Shazam! Fury of the Gods filmmaker made it clear that he had nothing but love for the old suits. However, for the second installment, they wanted to try something new for the heroes.
