New Marvel Cinematic Universe art pitches Tom Holland's version of the web-slinger getting the symbiote suit while taking on the Scorpion in Spider-Man 4. The MCU audience have been very patient as they are waiting for Holland's Spider-Man 4 movie, following the big success of Spider-Man: No Way Home. With The Multiverse Saga being in the midst of Phase 5, chances are that Spider-Man 4 won't be happening in the MCU timeline until Phase 6 at the earliest.
While Spider-Man 4 is being developed, there is no director attached, as rumors keep emerging about who will be taking over for Jon Watts. In the meantime, Solo Authority has shared new fan art of Spider-Man 4 being titled Spider-Man: Back in Black, bringing the infamous symbiote storyline to life in the MCU.
The Spider-Man: Back in Black artwork sees Holland's Peter Parker in the black costume taking on Mac Gargan, a.k.a. Scorpion, played by Michael Mando. Mac was first introduced in the MCU in Spider-Man: Homecoming and had a pivotal post-credits scene where he encounters Adrian Toomes in prison, teasing a potential future as Scorpion.

Why Scorpion & Peter's Symbiote Suit Make Perfect Sense For Spider-Man 4 Close The first Venom: The Last Dance trailer may have undone the post-credits scene at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, as the little piece of symbiote gets captured by Chiwetel Ejiofor's mystery character. However, despite this surprising moment, that doesn't mean Spider-Man 4 couldn't tackle the symbiote storyline after Venom: The Last Dance. It's crucial to remember that Venom: The Last Dance is marked to seemingly be the end of Tom Hardy's run as the anti-hero.
By the time Spider-Man 4 comes out, Hardy likely won't be Venom anymore, and that could set up Earth-616 to introduce its own take on the symbiote mythology. This would still allow Spider-Man 4 to do the black suit storyline, and also tackle an unused villain like Scorpion after his brief introduction in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Since J. Jonah Jameson is the one responsible for turning Mac into Scorpion in the comics, this would be a natural direction after Spider-Man: No Way Home.
