10 Versions Of Iron Man We Want To See In Avengers 5 & 6*

An Iron Man return has been a controversial debate, but the hero could return to the MCU in Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars through a multiversal variant. Although Tony Stark has been referenced in the MCU plenty of times since his death in Avengers: Endgame, Robert Downey Jr. has yet to reprise his role on-screen. However, the MCU’s Multiverse Saga lends itself perfectly to the revival of past characters.
Tony’s sacrifice for the greater good of the universe in Avengers: Endgame was a full-circle moment and the best exit for his character. While he is greatly missed in the MCU, there's an argument that simply reviving him would tarnish his perfect ending. However, one way Marvel could bring Iron Man back to the MCU would be to introduce an alternate version of the character. Rather than bringing back the version of Tony that died in Endgame, a multiversal variant would be much more palatable.
