The DC Universe's Batman: The Brave and the Bold has several things it could and should learn from Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. Intended to be a brand-new Caped Crusader for the dawn of a shared universe envisioned by James Gunn and Peter Safran, the next live-action Batman will be a clean slate, having all kinds of potential with the ability to engage in fresh narratives past films haven't even attempted from the original DC Comics. However, the Dark Knight trilogy was iconic for more than one reason, and as such there are lessons to be gained for the next iteration of Batman.
Releasing between 2005 and 2012, Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy pushed the limits of what superhero cinema could be. A grounded noir series with superhero themes, the trilogy starring Christian Bale as Batman was groundbreaking. However, it does have some flaws to be avoided for all of its success that should be emulated. Here are ten lessons the DC Universe's next Batman movie must learn from the Dark Knight trilogy.
