Hux"s Palpatine Criticisms Confirm the First Order Was Doomed to Fail*

Star Wars’ General Hux may be a sniveling coward, but the character was smart enough to point out how Palpatine was doomed to fail. Oddly enough, these criticisms would wind up playing out for the First Order and Hux himself, as he too fell prey to arrogance and overconfidence.
Ever since his first appearance in The Force Awakens, General Armitage Hux has been established as an ambitious leader willing to claw his way to the top via whatever means necessary. The ultimate villain that fans love to hate, Hux is in a constant power struggle with Kylo Ren for the favor of Supreme Leader Snoke in the sequel trilogy. Whereas Ren acts as the Dark Side apprentice to Snoke, Hux acts as the military tactician, commanding the armies of the First Order with an iron fist.
