6 New MCU Super-Soldiers Captain America: New World Order Can Set Up*
Captain America: New World Order can introduce several new super-soldiers to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even though Sam Wilson's Captain America is not a super-soldier, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier explored the complicated history of the serums and experiments that have helped populate the shared universe with so many of them. This included revealing the secret history of Isaiah Bradley and the rise of the Flag Smashers. Captain America 4's story is still largely unknown, but there is reason to believe that the focus on super-soldiers will continue.
The Captain America franchise has always had a tie to this section of the MCU thanks to Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes representing two of the most prominent super-soldiers. Captain America: New World Order is bringing back Isaiah Bradley to explain his past further, while the involvement of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier head writer Malcolm Spellman points to continuing larger storylines left by the Disney+ show. The movie is delivering some surprises by using The Leader and Thunderbolt Ross while leaving Bucky Barnes and possibly Sharon Carter out. However, Captain America 4 could set up a number of other MCU super-soldiers for the future.
