The DC Universe"s Superman Plans Need To Learn From 1 Cavill Mistake*

James Gunn's emerging DC Universe is set to bring a new, young version of Superman to screens in Superman: Legacy, giving DC the chance to avoid a major mistake in Henry Cavill's depiction of the iconic superhero in the original DCEU. Though Cavill's take on Superman is beloved despite his relatively small amount of screentime since joining the DCEU in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, this iteration focused mainly on Kal-El and his heroic acts while seemingly paying little thought to the Clark Kent side of the character. Henry Cavill has come to symbolize DC's chaos as James Gunn makes the transition from the DC Expanded Universe that he inherited in 2022. Cavill's version of Superman was expected to finally return for Man of Steel 2 following his appearance in Black Adam's post-credits scene but was quickly dropped only weeks after his reprisal, with Gunn indicating that he planned to reboot the character for his new cinematic universe.
